We are happy to have you join us at Chaiwali and are as careful with you, our guest, as we are at home for ourselves and endeavor to give you a relaxing, fun and calm experience during these times.

Dining with us for safe indoor and outdoor dining

Masks are required for entry into our space (we can provide them if you forgot yours)

Reservations are preferred but walk-ins are welcome if we can accommodate you safely

We do not have street dining but we do have a lush tropical front patio on the large sidewalk on Lenox Ave

We also have a beautiful courtyard with seating in the Moon Pavilion and at the Starry Night table for dining only

Our tables are divided paying attention to NYC and State guidelines with beautiful bamboo screens and plants.  This creates comfortable nooks for tables of 2, 3, 4 and more.

We request no more than two people wait for the restroom indoors at a time.

We have a rigorous sanitizing schedule of three times an hour for door knobs, handles, railings.    Restrooms are cleaned and sanitized once every hour.

All devices, terminals and pens are wiped and sanitized after every use

Staff are in disposable or reusable washable masks and sanitize, wash hands constantly.

For Table Service

Your table is disinfected in front of you before you sit down

We provide your own Care Tray with table settings and menus; glasses are in covered shelves not exposed to people passing, silverware is cleaned and rolled in disposable napkins while wearing mask and gloves; silverware is handled with tongs when it is added to your care tray

Menus are paper (with a scan code if you prefer to use your device) and can be taken home for you to order out later or are discarded after use
